Beyond-G Global Innovation Center Hosts “Beyond-G: 6G Technology Workshop”
The Beyond-G Global Innovation Center at Hanyang University successfully hosted the “Beyond-G: 6G Technology Workshop” on September 19–20, 2025, at the Grand Ballroom of Gonjiam Resort. Organized by the Wireless Positioning and Navigation Research Group (KICS) and sponsored by the Beyond-G Center, the workshop gathered experts from academia and industry to discuss key technologies and future directions for the 6G era.
The program featured keynote presentations by Hanyang University professors on Hyper Resolution Sensing, Hyper Connectivity Communication, and Hyper Intelligence System, as well as sessions on Joint Sensing and Localization for 6G-ISAC and 6G RAN from an operator’s perspective. The workshop also included industry discussions, poster presentations, and interactive programs, fostering collaboration across academia and industry.
On the second day, a roundtable meeting explored joint research projects and talent development in 6G technologies. Prof. Sunwoo Kim emphasized, “The workshop helped solidify the center’s core research directions and strengthen collaboration with industry. Beyond-G will continue to serve as a global platform leading the next-generation communication and sensing ecosystem.”
Beyond-G 글로벌 혁신센터, 「Beyond-G: 6G 기술 워크숍」 개최
한양대학교 Beyond-G 글로벌 혁신센터(Beyond-G Global Innovation Center)는 2025년 9월 19일(금)부터 20일(토)까지 곤지암 리조트 그랜드볼룸에서 「Beyond-G: 6G 기술 워크숍」을 성황리에 개최하였다. 이번 워크숍은 한국통신학회 무선측위 및 항법기술연구회가 주최하고 한양대학교 Beyond-G 글로벌 혁신센터가 후원하였으며, 다가오는 6G 시대의 핵심 기술과 미래 발전 방향을 함께 논의하기 위해 학계 및 산업계 관계자들이 한 자리에 모였다. 행사는 한양대학교 김선우 교수(무선측위 및 항법기술연구회 위원장)의 개회사로 시작되었으며, 황순민 교수(한양대)의 Hyper Resolution Sensing, 홍송남 교수(한양대)의 Hyper Connectivity Communication, 송익현 교수(한양대)의 Hyper Intelligence System 등 주요 발표가 이어졌다.
이어, 김효원 교수(충남대)가 Joint Sensing and Localization for 6G-ISAC 주제로 발표를, 이현호 박사(SK텔레콤)가 Operator’s Perspective on 6G: RAN 세션을 진행하며 6G 통신 인프라의 산업적 관점을 공유하였다. 또한 삼지전자 이영곤 소장을 비롯하여 산업계 전문가들이 참여한 인더스트리 세션, 참석 연구원 개별 포스터 발표, 퀴즈 및 시상 프로그램 등 다채로운 세션으로 산학연 간의 실질적 교류가 활발히 이루어졌다.
행사 2일차에는 소규모 산학연 간담회를 개최하여 6G 관련 공동연구 및 인력양성 방안에 대한 심도 있는 논의가 진행되었다.
김선우 교수는 “이번 Beyond-G 6G 기술 워크숍은 센터의 핵심 연구 주제인 ‘Hyper-Connected, Hyper-Intelligent, Hyper-Resolution’ 기술 방향을 구체화하고, 산업계와의 협력 시너지를 강화하는 의미 있는 자리였다”고 밝히며 “앞으로도 Beyond-G 센터는 차세대 통신·센싱 융합 생태계를 선도하기 위한 글로벌 협력 플랫폼으로서의 역할을 지속해 나갈 것”이라고 강조했다.
