[News] NTUST and Hanyang University Discuss Global Collaboration in Next-Generation Communications

On September 12, 2025, a delegation from the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST)—including Jeng-Shiou Leu, Dean of the College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, and Professor Jui-Tang Wang—visited the Beyond-G Global Innovation Center at Hanyang University. During the visit, the two institutions held in-depth discussions on collaborative research and development in the field of next-generation communications and agreed to begin full-scale cooperation starting in 2026.

The key areas of collaboration, scheduled to be actively implemented from 2026, are as follows:

[1] Short-Term Course Invitations

Invited faculty-led short-term courses and guest lectures to promote academic exchange and knowledge sharing between students and faculty of both universities.

[2] TEEP (Taiwan Experience Education Program) Internship Program

Collaboration through NTUST’s TEEP internship program to encourage student participation and strengthen practical, hands-on learning experiences.

[3] Student and Faculty Research Exchange Visits

Research exchange visits involving students, faculty members, and researchers to enhance technical collaboration between the two institutions.

During the visit, Dean Leu and the NTUST delegation toured several research facilities within the Beyond-G Global Innovation Center, including the Digital Twin Laboratory. They showed strong interest in the center’s research on next-generation communications, engaging in detailed discussions and inquiries regarding ongoing projects and experimental results. This collaboration between the Beyond-G Global Innovation Center at Hanyang University and NTUST is expected to further enhance the center’s standing as a globally leading research hub in next-generation communications.

2025년 9월 12일 대만 국립 과학기술 대학교(National Taiwan University of Science and Technology: NTUST)의 Jeng-Shiou Leu 학장님(Dean, College of Electric Engineereing and Computer Science)과 Jui-Tang Wang 교수 일행이 한양대학교 Beyond-G 글로벌 혁신센터를 방문하여 차세대통신 연구개발에 대한 협력방안을 구체적으로 논의하고 2026년부터 본격적인 협력을 하기로 협의하였다. 주요 협력 방안으로 아래와 같으며, 2026년부터 본격적으로 추진할 계획이다.

초청 강연 형식으로 방문하여 강의강좌를 통해 학생과 교수진이 귀사의 전문 지식을 배우고 토론을 통해 양 대학간 학문적 소통

[02] TEEP(Taiwan Experience Education Program) 인턴십 프로그램

전 세계 학생들의 많은 참여가 활발히 이루어지고 있는 대만국립과학기술대학교의 인턴십 프로그램에 참여하여 상호 협력

[03] Student and Faculty Research Exchange Visit (학생, 교수간 기술교류) 

해외 대학간 기술 교류 프로그램을 통해 한양대학교 Beyond-G 글로벌 혁신센터의 교수, 연구원, 학생간 기술교류 활성화

이날 대만국립과학기술대학 Leu 학장 일행은 Beyond-G 글로벌 혁센센터의 디지털트윈랩 등 센터내의 실험실 현장을 방문하여 차세대통신 연구개발 사항에 대해  구체적으로 진행사항 및 실험결과에 대해 질문을 하는 등 깊은 관심을 가졌다. 한양대학교 Beyond-G 글로벌 혁신센터와 대만국립과학 기술대학교(NTUST)와의  협력을 통해  글로벌선도연구센터로서의 위상을 더 높이는 계기가 되기를 기대한다.
