[News] Dr. Hyun Jin Jung, MIT Postdoctoral Researcher, Hosts Seminar at Beyond-G Global Innovation Center
- Sharing Latest Research on Near-field Sensing, Hybrid RIS, and AI/ML-based Localization
Dr. Hyunjin Jung, a graduate of Hanyang University’s WSL (Wireless Systems Laboratory) and a postdoctoral researcher at MIT, visited the Beyond-G Global Innovation Center on Wednesday, December 15, to hold a research seminar and academic exchange session for current students. Dr. Jung is currently conducting research at MIT’s WINSLab (Wireless Information and Network Sciences Laboratory) under Professor Moe Z. Win. MIT WINSLab has an active MOU with Beyond-G, collaborating on a variety of research areas, including quantum sensing. During the seminar, Jung introduced the latest research achievements in next-generation wireless technologies, including near-field sensing, Hybrid RIS (Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface), and AI/ML-based localization, and shared insights on global industry trends and research directions with the students. One researcher from WSL who attended the seminar commented, “It was a highly valuable session where we could directly learn about industry trends and gain guidance on research directions. I learned a lot from this meaningful seminar.” The Beyond-G Global Innovation Center plans to use this seminar as an opportunity to further strengthen international collaborative research and actively foster outstanding talent in next-generation wireless and sensing technologies.
[센터소식] MIT Post-doc. 정현진 박사, Beyond-G 글로벌 혁신센터 방문 세미나 개최
- Near-field sensing, Hybrid RIS, AI/ML 기반 위치 추정 등 최신 연구 성과 공유
한양대학교 WSL (Wireless Systems Laboratory) 졸업생인 정현진 박사(MIT Postdoctoral Researcher)가 지난 12월 15일(수) Beyond-G 글로벌 혁신센터를 방문하여 재학생들을 대상으로 연구 세미나 및 학술 교류의 시간을 가졌다. 정현진 박사는 현재 MIT(Massachusetts Institute of Technology) Moe Z. Win 교수 연구실인 WINSLab(Wireless Information and Network Sciences Laboratory)에서 Post-doc.박사후연구원 과정을 밟으며 연구를 수행하고 있다. MIT WINSLab은 Beyond-G 센터와 MOU를 체결하고, 양자 센싱을 포함한 다양한 분야에서 공동 연구를 활발히 진행 중이다. 이번 세미나에서 정 박사는 Near-field sensing, Hybrid RIS(Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface), AI/ML 기반 위치 추정(Localization) 등 차세대 무선 기술 분야의 최신 연구 성과를 소개하였으며, 해외 산업계의 기술 동향과 연구 방향성에 대한 인사이트를 참석한 학생들과 공유하였다.
세미나에 참석한 WSL 소속 한 연구원은 "업계 동향과 이를 포괄하는 연구 방향성에 대한 가이드라인을 직접 들을 수 있어서 매우 유익한 시간이었다"며, "많은 것을 배울 수 있었던 의미 있는 세미나였다"고 소감을 전했다. Beyond-G 글로벌 혁신센터는 이번 세미나를 계기로 국제 공동 연구 협력을 더욱 강화하고, 차세대 무선·센싱 기술 분야에서 우수 연구 인력 양성에 지속적으로 힘쓸 계획이다.
