- Sharing AI-Based Real-time Base station Energy Saving Technology and Industry Experience

On 26th December, the Beyond-G Global Innovation Center hosted a seminar by Senior Researcher Minsoo Jeong from ETRI, titled "AI-Based Real-Time Base Station Energy Saving Technology." During the seminar, Researcher Jeong presented the latest developments in network energy-saving technologies and shared his practical experience from real-world projects, highlighting strategies to enhance network energy efficiency through the use of artificial intelligence.Participants gained a deeper understanding of real-time, data-driven energy-saving techniques and network optimization approaches, followed by an engaging Q&A session on practical applications. One researcher from WSL who attended the seminar commented, "This seminar provided a valuable opportunitiy to learn both the latest research trends and practical expereince. We believe that continued collaboration with ETRI will allow us share research outcomes and enhance the expertise of our center members." The seminar offered a valuable opportunity to explore both the latest research trends and hands-on experience. [센터소식] ETRI 정민수 선임연구원, Beyond-G 글로벌 혁신센터 세미나 개최

- 인공지능 기반 실시간 기지국 에너지 절감 기술과 현업 경험 공유

지난 12월 26일(금) Beyond-G 글로벌 혁신센터에서는 ETRI(한국전자통신연구원) 정민수 선임연구원을 초청하여 "인공지능 기반 실시간 기지국 에너지 절감 기술"을 주제로 세미나를 개최했다. 이번 세미나에서 정민수 연구원은 Network energy saving 기술의 최신 동향과 실제 현업에서 직접 경험한 연구 사례를 중심으로 강연을 진행하며, 인공지능 기술을 활용한 네트워크 에너지 효율화 전략을 공유하였다. 참석 연구자들은 실시간 데이터 기반 에너지 절감 기술과 네트워크 최적화 방안에 대해 이해를 넓히고, 실제 적용 가능성에 대해 활발한 질의 응답 시간을 가졌다. 세미나에 참석한 WSL 소속 한 연구원은 " 이번 세미나는 최신 연구 동향과 현장 경험을 동시에 접할 수 있는 매우 유익한 기회였다"며, 앞으로도 ETRI와의 지속적인 협력을 통해 연구 성과를 공유하고 센터 구성원들의 전문성을 더욱 강화할 수 있기를 기대한다" 고 소감을 밝혔다. Beyond-G 글로벌 혁신센터는 이번 세미나를 계기로 네트워크 에너지 절감 및 AI 기반 통신 기술 분야에서의 산학연 협력은 물론 센터는 앞으로도 이와 같은 주제별 세미나를 지속적으로 개최하여 구성원들의 지식과 역량 강화를 이어갈 계획이다.
