[NEWS] Beyond-G Global Innovation Center Holds Special Session at the 2026 KIEES Summer Conference

 

The Beyond-G Global Innovation Center at Hanyang University (Director: Prof. Sunwoo Kim), which carries out the Innovation Research Center (IRC) Program supported by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National Research Foundation of Korea, organized a special session at the 2026 KIEES Summer Conference, held from August 19 to 22, 2026, in Pyeongchang, Gangwon Province.

 

The session took place on Thursday, August 20, from 08:30 to 10:30, at Pyeongchang Hall 1 on the first floor of the Convention Center, and was chaired by Prof. Ickhyun Song of Hanyang University. It was organized to share the latest research achievements of the Center’s researchers.

 

The special session featured a wide range of research outcomes in key 6G communication, sensing, and RF technologies, including RSMA beamforming, movable antennas and intelligent reflecting surface-assisted MIMO technologies, GaN RF circuits and power amplifiers, Rydberg-atom-receiver-based sensing, AI-based wireless propagation prediction, and near-field wideband beam training.

 

The session provided a meaningful opportunity to share the Beyond-G Global Innovation Center’s research achievements in key 6G technologies and to strengthen academic exchange and collaboration among researchers in related fields.

 

 

[NEWS] Beyond-G 글로벌 혁신센터, 2026 한국전자파학회 하계종합학술대회 특별세션개최

과학기술정보통신부와 한국연구재단이 지원하는 혁신연구센터(IRC, Innovation Research Center) 사업을 수행하는 한양대학교 Beyond-G 글로벌 혁신센터(센터장 김선우)는 2026년 8월 19일부터 22일까지 강원도 평창에서 개최된 2026 한국전자파학회 하계종합학술대회에서 특별세션을 개최하였다. 

 

세션은 8월 20일(목) 08:30 ~ 10:30, 컨벤션 1층 평창홀1에서 진행되었으며, 한양대학교 송익현 교수의 좌장으로 진행되었으며, 센터 연구진의 최신 연구 성과를 공유하는 자리로 마련되었다.

이번 특별세션에서는 RSMA 빔포밍, 이동형 안테나 및 지능형 반사 표면 기반 MIMO 기술, GaN RF 회로 및 전력증폭기, 리드버그 원자 수신기 기반 센싱, AI 기반 무선 전파환경 예측, 근거리장 광대역 빔 트레이닝 등 차세대 6G 통신·센싱·RF 핵심기술에 관한 다양한 연구결과가 소개되었다.

이번 세션을 통해 Beyond-G 글로벌 혁신센터의 6G 핵심기술 연구성과를 공유하고, 관련 분야 연구자 간 학술 교류와 협력 기반을 강화하는 의미 있는 기회를 마련하였다.
